I’m not saying she’s my enemy! Did I just say “SHE”??? *devilish grin*:)
“Only love stops hate. Change our world, love your enemies.”
As Gandhi put it “It is easy enough to be friendly to one’s friends. But to be friend the one who regards himself as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. The other is mere business.” The true test of any real man is their test of patience with those they consider the opposite of a friend. When we love those who tread against us we fight the anger and bitterness that can easily bring us down.
Loving your enemy means forgiving those who picked on you, abused you mentally or physically, or anyone that has done any other wrong to you or against you not only to provide peace between the two of you, but mainly to provide peace within. Loving your enemy makes you a positive example to others who hold anger and discontent towards people in their lives and will hopefully spread love into their lives, influencing them to love their enemies as you do.
Take the steps necessary to get along with the people that you feel are your enemies and you will achieve a peace inside that you would never dreamed of achieving.
